“WHAT A WELCOME SURPRISE”

Skiing during Spring break. Couples getaway.
...Allen and Bob are the inn keepers. Allen is the cook. What a great pastry chef. The breakfast was buffet style but really a lovely tasty spread. Every detail of a great buffet was present.
The egg frittata and the blueberry pancakes and then banana walnut waffle was great. I am a personal cook and it met my standards. There was always freshly baked goodies available, of course during breakfast but also during the day. They kept it available in the dining room for bonus treats.
When we came back from skiing, there was homemade cookies, really enjoyed the lemon ricotta cookies. The raspberry ice tea was also very nice as well as the Keurig ready with choices of tea and coffee. ...
Loved meeting your lab, golden retriever, chow mix dog Teddy bear. When I pet him, he is so friendly, calm and soft. He clearly loves the attention and lovings.
Thank you. I loved hearing about Bob's cousin's maple syrup production too. Oh, the inn served this family maple syrup during breakfast. Very light and not so overly sweet.
“WARM, INVITING, COMFORTABLE, CLEAN”

First, the breakfast! We've never had better breakfasts available to us at any hotel, B&B, or resort! All the different types of breakfast foods and drinks are fresh and delicious (the sour cream banana pancakes were my fave) and we stuffed our faces every morning before hitting the slopes. Kept us going and fueled.
The room was clean, comfortable, cozy. We also enjoyed the cookies and other baked goods set out at 8 pm, and the mugs of hot cocoa, tea, or coffee available at any time of day in the living room or dining room. The living room with its big fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and old wood beams was charming and inviting.
Last but not least, Bob and Allen are gracious and welcoming hosts. I don't know how they manage so many guests and they seemed to be everywhere, doing everything, at all times of day and night. Their B&B might be larger in size than typical with 26 rooms, but somehow they've created an at-home feel. I definitely would stay here again the next time I'm in the Sugarbush/Stowe/Mad River/Mt Ellen area.

Stayed for a night on a two day ski trip. Near the ski area, with a great selection of rooms, each one being significantly unique. I had plenty of room to spread out my gear, watch a football game, and sleep in a comfortable bed!
Breakfast was phenomenal, with a wide selection food (bagels to quiche with various cereals, fruit, and a mix of eggs, potatoes and meat), and coffees and juices to choose from.
Absolutely a wonderful place to stay!

Such an awesome place! All of the employees were super friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and cozy. Beds are comfy with lots of warm blankets! Every room is different and has its own name, so you can pick whichever style you want! Complimentary coffee and tea are available all day long plus delicious breakfast every morning! No complaints at all!

We have stayed at the White Horse Inn during both summer and winter and had a wonderful stay both times. Bob and Allen are great hosts, very welcoming. They run a tight tidy ship, the breakfast is good and the cookies very appreciated!. Clean rooms and a good location for fun in the MR valley. We will definitely be back!
